Who would have ever thoght that when Camelbak Motherlode back in 1988 started out that they would become THE name in hydra and hands free water packs. Jeff Wemmer thei first sales rep would ride around the country on his motorbike and gained he irst sales going into cycle and outdoor shops trying to sell the latest product which in those days was only hydra packs. The first Camelbak was an IV bag put inside a white hose sock. After completing a 100 mile race in notoriusheat the Camelbak was born.

Camelbak Military and tactical is Camelbak Motherlode products built to army gradeand many products are endosedand approved for military use by the US army. However, you do not have to be in the army to make use of these high quality backpacks.
Between the Military packs there are a few fundamental differences. Some have larger Hydra capacities. With each back pack you get a complete hands free hydration system.

IT has a special zippered access for filling your hydration pack easily. The back panl use Camelbaks Air director system which basically mean its well ventlated on theback panel. It also has many ways you can route your drinking tube from around the back of th pack over your shoulder or say under your arm. Lastly its made of a lightweight but extremely durable 500D Cordura Fabric.
